Today someone prays, really prays
For a compassionate heart.
Grant in her a Christ-like
Love for others.
Let her hear, really hear
The cry from the heart of others.
Let her understand, really understand
What her neighbour is experiencing.
Let her know, really know
How long her friend has been suffering.
Let her love, really love
All those you put in her path today.
Let her respond, really respond
With love, understanding and compassion
That can only come from You,
Our Lord, Jesus Christ.
