June 2011...Marriage

As you unite in marriage,

Two lumps of individual clay,

Moulded into one vessel,

Upon the wheel this day.

The uniqueness of your union,

Is shaped by the “Potter’s” hand.

Your trust and love must be in God,

As in submission you both stand.

He has designed the pattern

For the life He wants you to lead.

Ask God to make you more like Him,

So that in all things you will succeed.

You desire to be vessels of honour,

But mistakes happen, come what may;

God doesn’t throw away any pieces,

He hears you when you pray.

He will gather up the fragments,

Jesus is our dearest friend;

He’ll put the bits together,

There’s nothing He can’t mend.

As you walk through life together,

May God’s many blessings flow.

Continue to be His example,

Everywhere you go.

Thank the Lord for His mercy,

For it is through His grace alone,

That one day you will behold the “Potter”,

Seated on His heavenly throne.
