November 2009...The loss of a father.

 

When losing a father,
The pain's hard to bear;
He's always been close by,
With his love and his care.

His kind, gentle guidance
Shown in humility and love,
Firm, yet reassuring
God sent, from above.

Independence, he said,
Is what you must learn;
So that you can cope
With life's every turn.

Now that he's gone,
No longer a phone call away,
To give us advice,
And be there to pray.

How we miss you, Dad,
For always being you;
You made life meaningful,
Sharing all that you knew.

Be refreshed now,
In God's presence above;
You'll always be remembered,
With tenderness and love.
