February 2007...A Precious Little Girl

Dear Lord,

I prays for a little girl who's such a pleasure;
To hear her pray is something to treasure.
With hands together and eyes closed tight;
She says every word with all of her might.

Our Lord hears and blesses her each day;
As she sleeps and when she goes out to play.
All those who know her will agree;
She's a precious little girl, that's plain to see.

Oh, how feminine, with those bouncing curls;
Her skirt flares out as around, and around she twirls.
"Daddy, Daddy, come and see me spin";
She knows this is how his heart she'll win.

To look like Mummy is the trick;
In her high-heels and lipstick,
She thinks that she is rather neat;
To watch her 'dress-up' is a treat...

She looks at her big brother with pride;
And is honoured to be allowed to walk at his side.
He's teaching her to read and write,
He wants his friends to see she's bright.

"Now I'm big enough for school,
Oh, no! That uniform isn't cool!
But not to worry I'll survive;
After all, I'm only FIVE".

Be blessed little one!

Amen.
