April 2008...Righteous Living

 

Be imitators of God,

As dearly loved children
And live a life of love,

Just as Christ loved us.

Avoid a life of immorality,
Impurity, obscenity, or greed.

Foolish talk and coarse joking,

Are improper for God's holy people.

You were once in darkness,
But now you are in the light.

The fruit of the light is goodness,

Righteousness and truth.

 

The light makes everything visible;

"Wake up, O sleeper,
Rise from the dead,

And Christ will shine on you."

Be very careful how you live,

Make the most of every opportunity.

Seek the Lord's will,
And do not be foolish.

Be filled with the Spirit,

Speak in Psalms and hymns.

Singing spiritual songs to the Lord,

Giving thanks for everything.
